We deliver an integrated model of education, care and therapy for individuals with high and complex needs across three divisions: specialist education, residential care and therapeutic fostering.
Our approach ensures joined up support across schools, colleges, residential homes and foster placements, creating consistency, stability and progression for every child and young person we support.
We support children and young people across a range of specialist needs through tailored provision delivered by highly trained, multidisciplinary teams.
We provide specialist schools, colleges and residential care for children and young people with Autism and related neurodevelopmental conditions. Our focus is on structured environments that promote communication, independence, learning and personal development.
AutismWe provide education and residential care for children and young people affected by social, emotional and mental health needs, often linked to trauma, abuse, neglect or exploitation. Our environments are designed to provide safety, stability and consistent therapeutic support.
Social, Emotional Mental Health (SEMH)We support children and young people with multiple and often overlapping needs, including learning disabilities, communication difficulties, sensory processing challenges and associated behavioural needs. Our integrated approach ensures each individual receives tailored support based on their unique profile.
SEMH & Complex NeedsWe support children and young people experiencing mental health needs and associated behavioural challenges, helping them develop coping strategies and build resilience, with the aim of increasing independence and community participation where appropriate.
Specialist Mental Health Services for ChildrenWe provide specialist care and education for children and young people who are deaf or have significant hearing impairments, alongside any associated emotional, behavioural or learning needs.
Residential Services for the DeafOur fostering service provides therapeutic, family based care for children and young people with high and complex needs who are unable to live with their birth families. Foster carers are fully supported by our clinical and education teams.
Therapeutic FosteringCambian delivers a fully integrated approach across education, care and therapy. Our specialist schools, colleges and residential homes work closely together to ensure continuity of support across every stage of a child or young person’s journey.
Many of the individuals we support also present with additional needs such as ADHD, OCD, anxiety, dyslexia or sensory processing differences. Our model is designed to respond to this complexity in a coordinated and holistic way.
Through personalised therapeutic planning, specialist education and continuous progress monitoring, we help children and young people build confidence, independence, social skills and, where appropriate, employability skills.
Our approach is rooted in trauma informed and attachment based practice. Many of the children and young people we support have experienced significant adversity, including abuse, neglect or disrupted early relationships, and may struggle with emotional regulation or forming secure attachments. We focus on three core principles:
Supporting children and young people to understand, regulate and manage their emotions and behaviour in safe and constructive ways.
Helping individuals make sense of their experiences and build a coherent understanding of their own life journey.
Supporting the development of trust, emotional wellbeing and positive relationships with others.
