No two days are the same as a Headteacher at a Cambian School. Your day may begin by checking in with colleagues, visiting classrooms and ensuring pupils and staff have everything they need to succeed.
Throughout the day, you'll work closely with teachers, teaching assistants and specialist teams to maintain high standards of education, wellbeing and safeguarding. You may be supporting colleagues with challenges, meeting with parents and professionals, reviewing pupil progress or leading initiatives to improve outcomes across the school.
Alongside being visible around the school and supporting day-to-day operations, you'll oversee school improvement plans, monitor performance, manage resources and ensure compliance with educational and regulatory requirements. You'll also play a key role in developing your team, helping colleagues grow in confidence and achieve their potential.

To be successful in this role, you'll need the relevant teaching qualifications and significant leadership experience within an educational setting. Experience of leading school improvement, developing teams and working with pupils who may have additional needs or barriers to learning would be advantageous.

Our homes provide support 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, so Residential Support Workers work a variety of shifts. Depending on the service, this may include long days, evenings, weekends, sleep-ins and waking nights. Shift patterns vary between homes, but you'll receive full details during the recruitment process.
