The role : Deputy Managers and Home Managers

As a Deputy Manager or Home Manager at Cambian, you'll play a leading role in creating safe, nurturing and supportive environments where children and young people can thrive. Working closely with teams across the home, you'll help ensure high standards of care, positive experiences and the best possible outcomes for the young people we support.

Whether you're supporting the day-to-day running of a home as a Deputy Manager or leading a service as a Home Manager, you'll be responsible for building strong teams, promoting a positive culture and ensuring every young person has the opportunity to achieve their potential.

Day-to-Day

No two days are ever the same in children's residential care. Your day may begin by checking in with the team, reviewing handovers and ensuring plans are in place to support the young people in your care.

Throughout the day, you'll support colleagues, liaise with social workers, families and other professionals, and help ensure the home runs smoothly. You might be celebrating a young person's achievement, supporting staff through a challenging situation or helping to plan activities and positive experiences.

Alongside leading and developing your team, you'll oversee care plans, maintain high standards, ensure compliance and drive continuous improvement across the home. While leadership is central to the role, you'll remain closely connected to the young people and the day-to-day life of the home.

Every day brings new challenges and opportunities, but the reward of seeing young people and colleagues grow, develop and succeed makes the role incredibly fulfilling.
