No two days are the same as a Teaching Assistant. You'll work closely with teachers to support learning, helping pupils engage with lessons, build confidence and make progress towards their individual goals.
Your day may include supporting pupils one-to-one, working with small groups, assisting with classroom activities, managing routines, and encouraging positive behaviour. You'll also play an important role in supporting pupils' emotional wellbeing, independence and social development.
Alongside classroom learning, you may get involved in enrichment activities, educational visits, outdoor learning and practical experiences that help bring learning to life. Our homes provide support 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, so Residential Support Workers work a variety of shifts. Depending on the service, this may include long days, evenings, weekends, sleep-ins and waking nights. Shift patterns vary between homes, but you'll receive full details during the recruitment process.
