Cambian Hereford School Enjoys Memorable Visit to Birmingham Sea Life Centre
In January, staff and students from Cambian Hereford School enjoyed an exciting and educational visit to the Birmingham Sea Life Centre as part of one of our SMSC enrichment trips. SMSC stands for Spiritual, Moral, Social and Cultural development. These trips are an important part of our curriculum as they help students build confidence, develop social skills, broaden cultural understanding and experience learning beyond the classroom in real-world settings. Throughout the visit, students showed fantastic engagement, interacting positively with the Sea Life Centre staff and listening carefully as they learned about the lives, habitats and conservation of a wide range of marine animals. Students were amazed to see many different species including colourful fish, sharks, penguins and several creatures they had never encountered before.
For some students, this was their first visit to the Sea Life Centre, making the experience especially magical and memorable. The opportunity to explore underwater tunnels and observe marine life up close created excitement and curiosity throughout the group. To recognise their excellent behaviour, teamwork and respectful conduct while representing the school in public, students were rewarded with a refreshing drink from Costa. A well deserved treat for their positive attitude and outstanding engagement during the trip. Well done to all students and staff involved for making the day such a success.
