Racing to School

In February, our students enjoyed a trip to Hereford Racecourse and took part in a maths-focused Racing to School workshop.

We visited the weighing room and learned how jockeys are weighed before and after racing, measured the perimeter of the parade ring, and learned how to read and use a racing book.

For many of our students, this was their first day at the races, making the experience exciting and memorable.
