A Sprinkle of Willy Wonka Magic

From a cosy cinema experience to a calm, sensory-friendly Golden Ticket hunt, our celebrations were full of fun, choice and creativity

This Easter, we enjoyed a magical Willy Wonka–themed celebration, filled with thoughtfully designed activities for everyone.

Celebrations began on Easter Saturday with a visit to the Hill House cosy cinema, where everyone relaxed and enjoyed watching Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory.

The experience was made extra special with popcorn and sweet candy bags, creating a warm, shared experience in a calm and comfortable setting.

It was then time for a giant Easter egg hunt! Each young person received their own Golden Ticket, complete with a simple map to follow. They then explored a range of themed activity stations at their own pace. These included; Squishy Wonka Slime Labs, catching rubber ducks and turtles and discovering dinosaurs in a “swamp” At the end, golden tickets were exchanged for Easter Eggs which were given out by our very own Willy Wonka!

Easter events continued throughout the holiday and activities included;

❖ Wonka Woodland Discoveries, finding animals displayed in the woodland area

❖ Busy Bee matching and sorting activities, including honeycomb shape sorting and honeycomb tasting

❖ Peter Rabbit colouring fun, using fingerprints, sponges, dot markers and pencils

❖ A cosy Oompa Loompa calm zone to support rest, regulation and emotional wellbeing, allowing young people to take breaks whenever they needed

The Easter celebrations were joyful, sensory-friendly, full of imagination, choice, and chocolate-inspired fun and smiles!

A very big thank to Margita Posova for organising all the events and also thank you to Dean Head for being our very own Willy Wonka for the day!
