Safer Internet Day

Our students took part in Safer Internet Day 2026, throughout the day the students completed a number of activities around using AI technology safely.

Students used AI to create games, giving the programme some prompts and themes. They watched as AI coded and programmed a fully functional game which they could then play! The students showed some really creative ideas and managed to use AI brilliantly.

Other groups had the challenge of using AI to create an interactive escape room. The students learned that the more details they could give the programme, the harder and better the escape room would become. We had some very tricky challenges being created.

The reason for the day was to promote the safe use of the internet and everything that it can do, staff gave pupils multiple talks on the safe use of the internet and AI. Students discussed the dangers of misusing AI and the dangers of using the internet such as losing their personal information, fraud and having your image manipulated by AI for the wrong reasons.

Our students engaged really well with the activities and came away from school with a better understanding of AI and how to use it safely.
