Academic Coaching

Academic Coaching provides personalised support to help students develop their learning skills, confidence and independence. Sessions focus on individual targets, study skills and strategies that help students engage positively with their education.

Child Development

Child Development introduces students to key areas of child growth, development and wellbeing. Learning can provide a foundation for further study and careers involving children, while developing practical knowledge and understanding of different stages of development.

Creative

Creative learning gives students opportunities to explore their imagination, develop self-expression and build confidence through a range of creative activities. Students can explore different forms, techniques and projects while developing practical and transferable skills.

Digital

Digital learning develops students’ confidence and skills in using technology safely, effectively and creatively. From digital communication and everyday technology to creative and vocational applications, students develop skills that support both independence and future opportunities.

English

English develops the communication, literacy and comprehension skills students need for learning, relationships, independence and future employment. Learning is tailored to individual needs and may include reading, writing, speaking, listening and functional communication.

Exploration & Experiences

Exploration and Experiences provide opportunities for students to learn beyond the classroom and develop confidence through meaningful, real-world activities. Experiences are tailored to individual interests and can support social development, independence, community participation and personal growth.

Health & Social Care (H&SC)

Health & Social Care helps students develop an understanding of health, wellbeing, care and the roles of people who support others. Learning can provide valuable knowledge and skills for everyday life, further study and future careers within the sector.

History

History encourages students to explore people, events and societies from the past and understand how they have shaped the world today. Through engaging topics and activities, students develop their knowledge, critical thinking and ability to understand different perspectives.

Maths

Maths focuses on developing the numerical and problem-solving skills students need in everyday life, further education and the workplace. Learning is personalised to build confidence and apply mathematical skills in practical, meaningful contexts.

Preparation for Adulthood (PfA)

Preparation for Adulthood supports students to develop the skills, confidence and independence they need for their next steps. This includes areas such as independent living, employment, community participation, relationships and making informed choices about the future.

Psychology

Psychology introduces students to the study of human behaviour, thoughts and emotions. Students can explore how people think, develop and interact with others, while building their understanding of themselves and the world around them.

Work Experience

Work Experience provides students with valuable opportunities to develop workplace skills and gain an understanding of different employment environments. Placements and activities are tailored to individual interests and aspirations, helping students build confidence, independence and employability skills.
