Laura is Head Teacher at Cambian Bletchley Park School and has a wealth of experience in school improvement, special educational needs, pastoral care and behavioural management. Her previous roles have included Head of Department, SENCo, Local Authority advisory teacher and senior leadership roles in both primary and secondary mainstream schools and within special educational needs establishments, including those specialising in autism. Her child-centred approach put the students' individual needs at the heart of the support packages provided at Bletchley Park

Stephen joined Bletchley Park School because he believes when a child is struggling, the first question should never be “what’s wrong with them?” It should be “what’s happened to them and what do they need from us?”

He leads on safeguarding, behaviour and pastoral care, with a focus on building the safety and trust that young people need before anything else is possible. For Stephen, behaviour is communication. His job is to understand what a child is telling him, not to manage it away. His approach is rooted in low arousal and relational practice, the belief that children with complex needs thrive when the adults around them are calm, consistent and genuinely invested in the relationship. That shapes how he works with students and how he supports the staff who work alongside them.

With a background spanning SEND, inclusion and pastoral leadership, Stephen has built his career within specialist education, where no two children and no two days are ever quite the same.

Johanna is a committed educator with a strong passion for supporting young people throughout their education. Over the years, she has gained experience working with students of varying levels of educational attainment in both mainstream and SEN settings.

She is dedicated to working collaboratively with staff teams to develop their skills and expertise in supporting young people reach their true potential and achieve their personal best. Johanna is also a strong advocate of a student‑centred approach to education.

Karen leads on student learning including the ongoing development of the curriculum to best match student need and ensure a bespoke approach for all. She also monitors student progress and has oversight of individual academic interventions to allow everyone to reach their personal best.

Karen is also the designated teacher for Looked after Children and strives to ensure that no young person, regardless of the challenges they face, is disadvantaged in what they are able to achieve.

Sarah has worked at Cambian Bletchley Park School since January 2022. She started as a class teacher and curriculum progress lead and in October 2023 took on the role of SENDCO. Sarah’s background is in special educational needs, working in specialist schools since 2007. Her roles have included teaching assistant, class teacher and school lead on moving and handling principles. Sarah is pupil focused, recognising and striving to meet the needs of each individual pupil, as well as supporting families and liaising with professionals. She is currently working on a National Professional Qualification in Senior Leadership.

Since joining Bletchley Park School in 2017, Carey has worked in a range of roles, including Lead Teaching Assistant and Family Liaison Officer, developing strong and positive relationships with parents and external stakeholders. Through a consistent commitment to supporting both students and families, Carey has played a key role in strengthening communication and collaboration across the school and wider community.

In her current role as Head of Pastoral Operations, Carey takes a lead on the operational development of pastoral care within Bletchley park school, ensuring that the wellbeing, safeguarding, and holistic support of all students remain at the heart of the school's provision.

Michele joined Bletchley Park school in 2015 at the very start of the school’s journey and brings over ten years of dedicated experience. She first worked as a Teaching Assistant and now as the Family and Community Engagement Lead having adopted many other roles across the school throughout her time with us. Her current role includes first aid and medication, supporting mental health and the wellbeing of others and more recently connecting with and supporting families and the wider community and ensuring the smooth assessment and transition of all new students. Michele is also one of the school’s Designated Safeguarding Leads ensuring the safety and protection of the entire school community.
