Young Person Profile
- Aged 12-18 years requiring specialist mental health services preventing possible admission to more restrictive service (Tier 4/secure) or step down from T4 services
- Supports young people who present with mental health disorders along with complex trauma, attachment difficulties and/or Autism
- Education and mental health intervention supporting a timely step down to community services working closely alongside the child's goals
Meeko House can be sourced as a 'step up' service from the community or a 'step down' service from inpatient settings.

We have an on site education provision, Home Tree School that is registered separately to Meeko House with Ofsted.

Our aim is to support young people through an in-depth and integrated approach to health, care and education, in a safe, nurturing, sensory supportive, totally inclusive and enabling environment which empowers us to measure positive personal progression. As part of the wider SMHS Services we use evidence based outcomes measures to record and review progress.
The Team At Meeko House
At Meeko House, the multidisciplinary team will get to know each young person and their expectations, completing baseline assessments in order to assess needs, develop, formulate and deliver an individualised treatment plan.

Meeko uses consultation, support from and inclusion of external bodies, training, and supervision.
The care team offer a person centred approach to each young person’s plan of care, we support and motivate achievement and hold high expectations of ourselves to support development within each phase at Meeko House-Stabilization, Strengthening and moving on. The home offers a safe and nurturing environment supporting our young people to develop a sense of security and responsibility, building upon their resiliency and exposing them to well thought out and calculated risk, this enables progression throughout their length of stay.
The Layout & Facilities
Our home has two wings; each with en-suite bedrooms and a dining room with cooking facilities, where young people can make their own meals or cook for others, if they wish to do so.
Independence skills are encouraged within the home to promote daily living skills.
There is a communal lounge area where the children can relax and watch television and read books, a sensory room and a large garden.
